My husband would like to continue using his Dell Dimension XPS T450. He is currently using a dialup connection (50 mbps). We have broadband (cable), and I would like to put a router in for wireless internet. Can I make this computer "wireless broadband compatible? Right now downloads are so slow they are "painful". I could install more RAM as well.

I believe the computer has am Ethernet port on the back. Running a network cable to the computer from the router would be the best solution.

If there is a free PCI socket inside, a wireless card could be installed inside the computer.
Google PCI socket, if you are unsure what one looks like.

You would need to ensure the wireless card you buy has a software driver
available for the version of windows the computer is using.
