Hi All

Hope you can shed some light on this.

System is a AMD 4800+ XP Sp3

Drive C Samsund IDE 250Gb
Drive D Lasie 1Tb big disk (for bulk storage)
Drive E Seagate 75Gb freeagent USB only (for backups)

All driven through a powered via 6 USB 2.0 hub

Drive D has started to disappear from Disk Management this can be while down loading from the net or doing back up.
Its been working fine for over a year. (see event logs below)

Also and I'm not sure if it is connected. The Lacie 250Gb i removed now does not work. It just keeps spinning
and is recognised by by my desktop or our laptops. Lacie say it is power supply problem but I'm less than convinced.

Hope some one can help

All the best

Have you tried bypassing the hub and connecting it directly to the computer? Perhaps the hub is going bad.

Good point.
I'm trying to get all the non physical movement options out of the way first and I am going to start moving stuff around next week If I cant fix it in the XP set up. It is so tangled and dusty down behind my PC, I leave it to my son.
