hi,
i corrently work with 1 VGA card & 2 screens- 27" 1920 & 17" 1280.

can i work with 2 or multi monitors with Crossfire?

no, not with crossfire active. I would have thought that that would have been mentioned in the FAQ.

Yes you can with CrossfireX, HD2000 or later GPUs and Catalyst 8.3 or later drivers. But there are some warts on actual performance - especially in gaming.

There currently working on that. So far, as soon as you boot 3D 2nd screen goes black, and even after going back to 2D, it stays black, but someones said theyre working on it

ok, so i'll wait for the 4870x2...
this saves a lot of money in MOBO too....

i need the dual monitor.

Yes, you dont have to escape xfire, so to speak, but the dual screen seems to kick it out while gaming

while gaming in dual monitors- i have everest on the sidebar- temps for all the components, clock- not to lose time.... & sometimes more- downloading stuff & seeing that it's ok etc...

after working with dual monitors, i can't go back... the secondary screen is very productive element...

Thats what theyre working on. Maybe the Cat 8.7s hopefully, so you dont have to reboot, and itll stick
