I am having a little bit of trouble with the temperature of my E6300. My system include : E6300, P5k/Epu, Ati 3870, with Cpu cooler Coolermaster Gemin S . I am runing at 3 Ghz (430 X 7) and stable. Core temp gives 50 c idle and 62 c full load. I just wonder if anyone can confirme the temperature or give some suggession about why my CPU temperature so high. Thank you very much.

High? That temp looks just fine for full load.

Try reducing your cpu voltage a little, that will bring down the temps.

What are you using to check temps? Try coretemp. I idle at 48-50c and just hit 60-62c at full load at 3ghz with less than stock voltage (1.248v). In the winter I run 3.45ghz at stock voltage (1.325) with the same temps.

Also my cpu and hsf have been lapped. (Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 pro)

Thank you for your help. I am using coretemp and hardware monitor (from the same website) to monitor the temperature. My coretemp tjunction is 85 C . Also what is highest temperature for safe operation for an E6300.

^Less than 85C(Tj Max) by manufacture standard. I personally won't let a CPU go above 70C, ever, even for a Quad.

hungngoc87,

From the Core i7 and Core 2 Temperature Guide - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ [...] ture-guide

Scale 6: Duo
E6x00: Tcase Max 61c, Stepping L2, TDP 65W, Idle 12W
E4x00: Tcase Max 61c, Stepping L2, TDP 65W, Idle 12W
E21x0: Tcase Max 61c, Stepping L2, TDP 65W, Idle 8W
X6800: Tcase Max 60c, Stepping B2, TDP 75W, Idle 24W
E6x00: Tcase Max 60c, Stepping B2, TDP 65W, Idle 24W (Spec# SL9Sx)
E6x00: Tcase Max 60c, Stepping B2, TDP 65W, Idle 12W (Spec# SL9Zx)
E6x20: Tcase Max 60c, Stepping B2, TDP 65W, Idle 12W

-Tcase/Tjunction-
--60--/--65--65-- Hot
--55--/--60--60-- Warm
--50--/--55--55--Safe <--
--25--/--30--30-- Cool

Tcase = CPU temperature
Tjunction = Core temperature

Your E6300 is either an L2 Stepping or a B2 Stepping. Regardless, Intel's Thermal Specifications are within 1c, as shown in the above Scale.
