I've recently setup my keymap to modal chat -- where you type Y to start
chatting. Well a lot of times while I'm typing my message, the window loses
focus bumping me out of the chat window. Is there a way to keep focus on the
window?

I will bet 3 cr you have a macro running.
every time a macro calls another macro (even itself) you lose focus... it's
annoying, but I know of no work around...

If you are not running some kind of macro, I have no idea then.

I realized using the start chat command it won't lose focus. When you just
click in the chat bar it will lose focus. However, there's no way around it
when you're typing an email or editing a macro. It happens when you are
looping a macro and when an attack is initiated, maybe some other times
too... group invites maybe.
