36C idle, 60C load (RealTemp)


Ambient = 70F
Chipset = X58
CPU = i7 920
CPU Cooler= Zalman CNPS9900
Frequency = 2.67Ghz
Speedstep/Turbo = Disabled
Load = Prime95 - Small FFT's - 15 minutes
Motherboard = Asus P6T
Stepping = C0/C1 (CPUID)
Core Voltage = 1.104V (CPUID)
Turbo Fan = Off (BIOS)

Open case, Cooler Master HAF 932.

Sounds normal to me. You should start paying attention when load temp hits 70C. I also hope the are where your PC is isn't dusty; that can do a number on open case setups like yours! :)

Recommend that you set your motherboard thermal alarm to 70 C for added insurance.

From the appearance of the format that you've used to provide your system's specs, I'd say that you've looked at my Guide. If you've seen the Scales in Section 6, then you know that your temperatures are fine.

yep, those are fine, if you're not happy with the stop hsf get an aftermarket one

he has an aftermarket... zalman 9900...i haven't researched it so i am not sure how good it is.. but my freezer7 pro does a great job on my core 2 duo wolfy at 3757 keeps it 32C idle and 57C load
