If you find a solution, please post it back here. I am looking for
something like this myself. I even went to a local "The Container
Store" and searched the entire place and didn't find anything.

I am thinking I will just have to machine a small case myself.
Fortunately, I have access to a lathe and mill.

But I won't have time in the shop for a month or two, so I am still
trying to find other solutions. Maybe we could fashion a small cage
out of wire? Cut & bend a coat hanger? I tried a film canister. Its
a bit big around, and not quite tall enough. A small matchbox is
about 2 mm too short, and doesn't provide good enough protection
anyway.

Legos could be used to build a sturdy one the right size. I wouldn't
actually build the case out of legos, but attach a few together,
crazy glue them, and then cut out a slot through them. This is
similar to machining your own, but anyone can cut legos if you have
a drill press (which is a lot more common than lathe/mill).

What else have you though of? What else have you tried?

-k.

This weekend at CompUSA I saw some "SD/MMC slot cleaners" which are
apparently to clean the contacts inside the slot. It had dummy cards
which were much longer than regular SD cards, possibly as long as the
WiFi card. The case that they came in might be the right size.

I have about 5 or 6 SD cards including the Wifi card.

I was going nuts looking for a case.

This past week I finally found one in CompUSA. I think it was made by
Case Logic. Best of all, it was 3.99! The case is kind of cheap
leather like material on the outside, but has a zipper and "slots"
inside for what I think was supposed to be Compact Flash cards. The
SD cards go in 'em, but slide around a bit. I use the bottom slot so
the Wifi card fits.

Here is a link to the closest thing I could find online. Picture this
product, but with a zipper. Check out the view of the inside to see
what I mean about the card slots and how you could use the bottom one
for the Wifi card:

Bottom line is it isn't the best solution. I've looked a bunch of SD
card cases (google SD card cases) and haven't found one I really like.
This is a temporary solution until I find something better, but at
least I'm not carrying my cards around in the clear plastic cases they
came in and stuffing those in my keyboards leather case.

Here are some links I've found for regular SD cases:

Just a thought, but isn't the wifi card about the same size as a Sony memory
stick? I have never compared the two side by side, but that is the
impression I got. If so, a holder for the sony could work well.
