In the nvidia configuration window for linux, the memory speed for my card is listed at 900 mhz, im wondering if this is the effective speed, or the clock speed.

My card is a pny geforce 9800gt 512, so it could be either way but I just want to make sure

I don't understand, how is there a difference between effective and clock speed? AFAIK the video card memory speed is constant when under load.
