More Information

I have a very annoying graphics card, EN8600GTS/HTDP/256M/A (ASUS STALKER EDITION).

This card will crash during 3D games like Half Life 2 / Doom 3 / Manhunt ... Most time will course the system to reboot.
I have checked drivers or heat issue that are most commonly the problem (power) - also installed the card into other machines, same issues reboots system. Also disabled AA and Filtering as I thought that may have also been the problem ... fail.
Things I noted about the motherboard when the card is installed - the temperature of the heatsink for the chipset goes through the roof! Doesn't matter which board, does that to all of them!

Hears the good part - I can send it for RA ... bad news - Not able to do it through the reseller and must pay for freight. The distributor has also told me that there are fees for testing if the card is faulty ... in fact the fees will cost me more then it would to buy another card ...

Im having a guess but I would say that I could only in this instance update the firmware for the graphics card to test to see if that will fix the issue ... So I have got to my question (yay finally!), How do you update the firmware on the graphics card and where could I get the firmware update ? (obviously ASUS for the firmware update ... but still ... )

If you can help - Thanks in advance.

PS Im just waiting for some doshbag to say " Update you drivers "
