Hi All,

I have recently purchased a system that I built, on boot it usually will run for a few minutes (sometimes a couple seconds, at times up to 10min) before either a full system freeze, or crash reboot.

Here are the system details:

CPU: Q6600
Motherboard:GA-EP45-DQ6
RAM: 4GB OCZ Reaper ddr2 1200 (2x2GB)
Graphics card: Gigabyte 9600GT 1GB
HD: 200GB IDE Seagate 7200rpm (Other SATA drives not connected at the moment)
PSU: Gigabyte 550W

I have double checked all power connectors, have the 2x2 12 volt on the top left as well as the normal ATX Board power connectors. Graphics card has power supplied as well.
I have tried a combinations of RAM configurations, loading bios in fail safe mode, replaced the RAM, replaced the CPU, tried one stick of Ram as well as 2 and combination of all the above.

Am very stumped now as to what it is that is the problem, unless the motherboard itself is faulty.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be?
Would really appreciate any help on the matter.

Thank you for your time.

I had a similar issue with an ASUS P5Q-E motherboard. It turns out that it's the motherboard that was faulty.

I also changed everything (GPU, CPU, RAM) and the problem remained, until I replaced the defective motherboard.
