I dont know what "thread" means!

can I add icons to taskbar other than those provided, eg I would like to have "dictionary Icon" on there, how, if possible, do I do it?

Quick launch may be what you are looking for.

No need to double post the 'thread' asking the same question in two places. It junks up the 'forum' for one thing.
