Hi folks -
I have this box hooked from DMI to HDMI with a Vizio 50" HDTV Plasma.
When switching from an HDTV channel to a non-HD channel, or vice versa,
I lose the picture. I can hear the sound, there is just no picture.
Power cycling the receiver fixes the problem.

According to Vizio this is a software problem with the Motorola box.
They say that the handshaking isn't working properly and the TV thinks
it is supposed to go to sleep.

Motorola is clueless and Comcast is clueless too.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks,
--Dan

Hi,
Logically speaking there are all kinds of HDTV hooked upto Motorola box
out there. Since it may be your Vizio has a firmware problem.
