ASUS P5K-E wifi-ap & Q9450

just a heads up...most people buying a q9450 are already going for an aftermarket heatsink so it wont effect you, but the stock HS and Fan that comes with the Q9450 will not fit on this board. The HS sits too low and the transistors surrounding the CPU will not allow it to clip all the way around.

If you're looking at this MB/CPU combo i recommend a CPU cooler with decent length clips to give it room to clear the transistors. (at least I think those little silver caps are transistors)

picked up an arctic pro 7, that should do the trick.....and Fry's sucks...just had to throw that in, their CPU cooler selection was terrible and almost all open boxes....went to Micro Center and they had a pretty sweet selection.
