Hello again everyone, i posted before in other sections, about the first PC i was about to build...

I decided to get an ASUS Striker II Formula and... well... i guess everyone can guess this one...
I got the DAMN "CPU INIT" problem in the LCD Poster.

My specs:

Q9550
ASUS Striker II Formula
4GB (2x2GB) in RAM, Patriot Extreme Performance 800MHz 4-4-4-12
nVidia GTX 280 GPU
320GB HDD

Now i really don't know what can be happening, when i turn on the system everything turns on, fans, fan leds and Republic of Gamers logo. There's no dirt in beween the CPU and its cooler, everything fine, i tried starting up with only one stick of RAM in the farthest DIMM from the CPU, the closest one, the middle ones.

Nothing sems to work... the screen... COMPLETLEY BLACK, nothing...

I push the clrCMOS button but nothing happens, i turned it off and pulled out the battery overnight, but again nothing happens. (by the way my clrCMOS button is NOT a two-position one, when you push it it will come back out alone immediately, unlike the Extreme one)

I also tried isolating the MoBo fom the case, by putting isolating tape in screws, but again nothing happens.

You know i REALLY need help, i need to find a solution, if you know of any method to get it working please post it below.

Thanx everyone.

sounds like the cpu is overheating and not getting to post... that happened to me before it almost gets to bios and then just stopped showing anything but everything esle kept on running

try reseating the heatsink

There is a good possibility your RAM is causing the failure to boot to BIOS. Try using different RAM to get in BIOS. Once there, bump up the voltage in BIOS and try what you have with more voltage. You may have to RMA the RAM you have and buy something the MB supports. Is your RAM on the MB QVL list? Anyway, find supported, guaranteed to work RAM for your MB here.

Hello guys, and thanx for your fast reply...

I already re-seated both CPU and its heatsink while checking for any... garbage or unwanted material between 'em and both were clean an properly placed, but if you think i should try that... well it's worth it, i'll try again.

badge!! hello, and glad to see you again now...
Well i guess i'll have to get another RAM so i could try it with it... since it has to be a crappy one (as suggested by guys in asus forums) i tinhk i can handle the costs...
As for my RAM... well badge... maybe, what do you think if i get one little piece of RAM from ASUS Striker II Formula QVL only to try and POST and boot... AFTER setting up everything (RAM voltage) i return to use my Patriot Extreme Performance RAM???
