Hi everyone,
I have a brand new Seagate barracuda 7100 11, 1.5To;
I have tried to install the drive on a GA K8NS Ultra 939 motherboard with Athlon 3500.
OS Windows XP - SP3
The drive is recognised and seen as 1397,25 Go which seems correct (not sure but I think so).
I wanted to make two or three partitions, as I find it easier to manage the storage.

My problem is that when I make a partition either primary, or extended (say 500Mo for instance) the system shows a wrong remaining capacity: it shows the full capacity (unallocated space).
I tried Diskwizard (seagate) but the problem is the same.

To test, I have made a single extended partition of the full capacty of the drive and formated the disk. It seems to work properly.
But I still wld like to partition my disk and dont rely about the possible result.
Thank you for your help.
