I have a friend who has an old computer which has lost the cmos settings for the HDD. The drive is a Maxtor

Model HDA PCBA UNIQUE
713AT 01A 57A 07A

Mfg Date 11-19-93
Singapore

Can anyone help??

From what i understand is that the drive is no more recognized in the BIOS

Have you changed any hardware in the computer, changed the jumper?

If not well sorry to say that old maxtor HD are not that good and it's probably dead...
