ASUS A8V Deluxe Question

I want to see if anyone has experience with these boards and their power saving features.

I've been having intermittent problems with the computer booting up, I'd hold the power button down and nothing would happen and I'd have to hold it down for 5-10 seconds before it would turn on. Reading the manual this seems to be something one of the power saving features may do.

I replaced the PSU as I thought that's what it may be, but it's not as it doesn't boot up with either the old or new PSU, and I tested them both with the paper clip and they started fine.

I tested with two different graphics cards both of which I know work and it won't boot with them either. Ram...maybe, but I don't know, it doesn't seem that way, I wasn't getting any weird system instability or anything like that.

So I guess I may have a bad mobo. Is there anything else I'm overlooking? Like I said the only thing I can think of is the power saving features this mobo has. Or maybe I'm just out of luck and need a new one? Thanks in advance!
