Hi all, I will be purchasing a hard drive enclosure and need a reliable hard drive to go along for a weekly backup. Have heard many things about the Seagate 7200.11s, nothing about the 7200.12s. Western Digital? Looking for 500gb or 1000gb. Mainly for storing videos, programs, and pictures as backup. Thanks in advance!

I have about a dozen 7200'10s and 7200.12's....no problems yet. Several of them are popping in and outta this thing for about a year.

The 7200.12's are particularly notable or their low sound and low temperature levels. Price for the 1 TB is very attractive at $89.

The WD 2 TB looks a lot more attractive than the 1 TB model performance wise.
