Im using the black lightscribe cd/dvd/+/- drive, along with xp home sp33 2bit, and sometimes after the xp logo screen , the system hangs at the black screen before the blue welcome screen, and I think it tries to check the cd drive because the drive light turns on.

Now I changed all the boot options to hard disk, but still have this issue whenever a disk is in the drive. I need some help.

Also, Im using the gigabyte ud4p motherboard.

This is actually normal behavior. On my own desktop, boot up is slowed down if I have a disk in my drive because the computer pauses while waiting for the optical drive to process the disk. That's why I always eject anything inside before I turn off the computer.
