you must make the ram clock manual. Then timings manual. then set your timings this will also depend on your ram. If you have 5000+ BE it wil get to about 3.1 stable. I would not go any further than this for I have burned several up doing this. All of this is located in the jumperless comfiguration tab in the bios. fairly easy to handle.

Bring your CPU multiplier to 15X and voltage bump of .10... If unstable or has problems drop down to 14X multiplier. if no worky your board may not be good enough to do OC.

More questions now:
1) What cooler do you have?
2) What ram do you have? BRAND please!
stock timing list would be nice as well.

Another problem is the south bridge you have on that mobo may not render overclocking very easy. 750 south bridge is the one you want for OCing. The 710 SB does not OC well. Your 5000+ needs to very well cooled for you to run @ 3.0. Better invest if you want it to be right. I would have to suggest a Thermal Take

Good decent card it works well enough on crysis warhead for me to keep it in my Media box gonna get another and go Xfire. This should do some damage on my games...

i have never heard of a X2 5000+BE not be able to go above 3.0 or 3.1

i have been sitting at 3.2Ghz for almost a year now, and no hicups! 200Mhz FSB and 16 Multi = 3.2Ghz
and its on an old Abit Fatality AN9-32X. stock voltage. all i did was upgrade cooler to AC Freezer Pro

only thing I hate, is i cant get accurate temps with any program! right now Speedfan says CPU= 24C and CORE= 14C....blah

but seriously try 16*200 and u should hit 3.2GHZ without any probs

On air I wouldnt recommend getting higher than 3.2 On many boards that I have tested with the 710 SB 3.2 has given me problems. But hey like it is posted everywhere every board is different and if your board will do it nicely than by all means do it and keep it. The 5000+ has been a faithful processor in my collection and I have relied on them more than once. YET, Ihave burned them up twice OCing on air. Lots of fun doing it and they were free. Just choose your settings wisely and remember its your rig. You will figure out what is best for you.
