Belkin router problem with new computer

Hi I just bought a new computer from a friend and he gave me a belkin Part # F5D7230-4 router with it. I set up the router and everything is fine but i installed Gears of War and it wont let me host any matches, or join any matches. When i go to host it tells me i cant host becuase of my firewall wont let it. when i go to join a game it just says that it cant connect to the host, so i went and tried to forward the ports 88, 3072 udp, and 3072 tcp cuase thats what it says to do on g4w live website. I have everything set up, my static ip and everything but when i click "Apply changes" on the virtual servers list, the page reloads and the ports i just put in are gone! I have been trying this for so many hours today and i need a little help, any would be appreciated

Go to your router setup, restore factory defaults, look for firmware updates, do it. When done, restore factory defaults.

Set up a port forwarding for your pc with those #'s you listed.

If no luck, turn off all router firewall features like SPI, etc. as a test. Also turn off your firewall on pc as a test.
