Hi! I have 2 options for my new upgrade. Right now i have a celeron 352 basic mobo 1gb ram and an 8500gt. I know its a piece and thats why i wanna upgrade. Right now I can either upgrade to an 8800gt and worry bout the proc and others later, or keep the 8500gt and get a new mobo 2gb ram and a 5000+be. What would be the better choice for right now?

Kind of depends on what you use your PC for a gamer might lean toward getting the 8800 which will probably be bottle-necked by the rest of your machine. So it's not doing you that much good. Maybe something like a 9600GT and a RAM upgrade. If you're not a gamer then I'd go with your second option.

Actually it would probably be better for you to go with the second option new MoBo and get a better VGA card later.

dude if u get a 8800GT i doubt ur low end mobo would support pci express 2.0 which is the main strength of the 8800gt
go second option dude

You don't need PCI-2.0. What are you smoking? 8800GT doesn't have enough bandwidth to need it. I say get the 8800GT then wait for a new motherboard and CPU. I'd rather play games on higher settings now then get a CPU which won't let you increase any settings.

1971Rhino had the best point... think of what you use your system for, and realize that your system will likely be a bottle neck for a new card!

I say upgrade cpu/mobo and prob ram too......

It is almost impossible to damage your CPU by overclocking. Motherboards are smart enough to shut down when CPU damage would occur.

Don't try to sell things in this forum- its against the rules and tacky.

CPU choice is fine- the RAM I have recommending for some time now- and it got even cheaper.

Buy a 4850 over 8800GT especially with AMD processor.

my bad about the ebay link  and i dont really have that kind of cash for the 4850 and i play at 10x7 :kaola: so i dont really need top of the line and i think that the 8800gt/s/gs will suit me fine and dandy :bounce:
