hello

just wondering if someone could explain me more detailed regarding intel core2 quad processor and intel core2 viiv processor different
from processor code, it just same to released quad core or core2 processor
could its just packaging renewal ?
or there something new added to the processor ?

somehow i can't get exact information regarding both processor differences ...

ViiV is a home entertainment platform. Its was originally designed as a total solution of entertainment PC. Those computer with ViiV logo on it are practically PC + TiVo.

Core 2 Quad on the other hand is a processor. Therefore it can be a part of ViiV entertainment platform.

yomamafor1 thanks alot for the info ^^
so pc with viiv is more likely branded pc right ?
and thats mean viiv processor is just same like original core2 or quad processor, correct me if i wrong

imho intel should put intel viiv on different section rather than putting on processor list that make people confused with viiv :)

I see Intel is discontinuing 'Interactive Suppport' for Core2 with Viiv. Does this mean itwas just a marketing hoax all along?
