followed a gudie on this website, overclocked the card, increased the voltage etc, any my pc has been running fine for hourrs, at the moment im playing jade empire, play for a couple of hours no problem, then i switched to far cry and after about 10 mins the pc just went off completley,? im guessing this is because its overclocked, but why do it in far cry and not jade empire. Is it because far cryis to demanding for the higher clock speeds, the GPU is at somthing like 770mhz and the mem at 864mhz.

thanks in advance

Unfortunaletly yes. Farcry is too demanding for the 3850 overclock you state. I have tried this exactly and to no avail in farcry or crysis.

You sure you increased the voltage? The only way I know of doing it for a 3850 is via the BIOS, and even then, it can only be increased to 3870 levels, and only in some cases. I had a 3850 at 810 on the core once, via this method. Stock cooler just barely hung on at 100% though.
