Hi i am @ work and was doing some reading on what my Q6600 is capable of, in terms of OCing, so before i start getting into OCing i wanted to know...

What is the difference between CPU Voltage and CPU VCore Voltage, or is it the same entity. I'm sure it is posted on one of the many pages here @ tom's, but i hate using the find feature of my internet browser, and this place is full of knowledgeable users. Thank You

My specs:
Coolermaster RC-690 (case)
EVGA 132-YW-E180-A1
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.0GHz (Stock Cooler) Leaning toward Coolermaster V8
4GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333 @ 1333
EVGA Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB
750W Corsair CMPSU-750TX
Maxtor 300GB
Seagate 500GB
Windows XP Pro SP3

the V8 is a great cooler.

vcore cpu voltage are the same rose. pending on the chip itself, i think if you raise the core just a bit, with the v8 cooler, then you can get up to 3.6Ghz fairly easily

Thank You Daft for responding, truly appreciate it, i will consult the wifey and see if i am allowed to purchase the V8, i have to budget these days due to the lovely economy. Thanks again HavoCnMe

For a quite bit less money for something almost as good, look at the Xigmatek HDT S-1283V.
