I just downgraded my windows 7 PC to windows XP for software. However, my new OS does not accept internet connection via a internet cable and neither does it accept to install my usb key so I basically can't do anything yet. I can't even activate it!

If you have any suggestions on helping me, I would be glad to hear them!

To keep safe, I won't use my real name, so just call me 72XP

You need to download and install the motherboard drivers.

It is due to the bad driver software. It is better to download your driver software from www.softpedia.com. To solve the problem of your usb it is good to uninstall the usb 2.0 driver by the following steps.
1.Right click on my computer>manage>select device manager.
2. If you found a yellow question mark on usb(universal serial bus). Then right click on it and select uninstall. You should try this step before installing driver software. Good luck..

It's always best to get drivers from the source. If it's an OEM system (HP, Gateway...etc), go to their site. If it's a custom build, find out the motherboard manufacturer, and go to their site. Same for when installing video card drivers.
