DO you have to partition the os drive, does it auto prompt you to do so? Is there anything wrong with just having t 1tb drives in raid 0 with the os and all other data on one big 2 tb space or is it necessary to partition?

Not necessary..... many people partition for reasons of organization ) do you put all your clothes in one draw ?) and for optimizing performance.....you really don't see more than 5% improvement until your machine starts to get older and depending upon how often you install / uninstall stuff. The 5 % may not seem like a lot but again you won't even see even a 5% improvement in gaming performance by doing RAID 0.

Well FREERAVEN you should probably set up multiple partitions one for your OS since you have 2 tb of space i see no reason why you casnt just go big and give it 500 GB that way you will never have a problem with space for applications and such you should also have a partition for data, what kind of data would go here? i dont know but make it so that you have a partition that you dont know why or how to use. lastly you should make a partition for all the music and movies you plan on stealing also i dont know what the benifit of seperating thse would be as they could probably just go under data. So now that you know absolutly nothing more than 10 minutes ago good luck and please pick me as best answer!

You dont have to be rude freeraven! settle down, or PARTITION you emotions into simple easy to manage sections and resolve them individualy. Now i demand you give the previous poster a big thank you for taking time out of his day to respond to you, he did not have to help you know. he only did it because of a deep seeded feeling of mortality and a longing for a feeling that he did something and helped someone and felt smarter or more deserving of air than the underling knownots that ask random questions about the mundayne. So smarten up and seek out the answers in the all knowing book of GOOGLE !

OH jack helps out again thanks man that all i wanted to clarify i will just put all my clothes in one draw or drawer whatever works cause that seems like a thing i would do. As far as raid goes thats interesting becasue alot of people are sure that they need raid for better read write speeds and i would like to do it just for giggles but if its only 5 % then i dont like the risk of one bad hdd wrecking all my data ! THANKS MAN .. And FREERAVEN im sorry bud i know you were only trying to help but ima hav to give it to JAck
