Hi,

I'm having problems with my HP Pavilion DV6000's DVD drive. Basically, it's stopped being recognised by Windows and the BIOS, but when I put a CD into the drive the CD loading cursor comes up, which means it probably knows it's there. I've tried the regedit fix but the values I need to delete aren't there. How can I fix it?

Register or log in to remove.

Clear the bios.
The values it stores may have become corrupted.

Cheers. How would I go about doing this?

Remove the battery on the motherboard for 30 seconds.
See your manual for more information.
