ok so here goes, this is a pretty funky problem, or at least i've never come across it before. I woke up this morning and noticed that my computer was in standby, so I bring it out of standby, only to find out that my mouse and keyboard were not responding. So i reboot trying to fix it. got nothing. So i change where they are plugged in. still nothing. Now I am thinking that I fried my usb ports. So i go and get a usb expander that pits in my pci slot and plug it up to my motherboard just like how I have my case usb ports plugged in. Now i'm getting nothing there. So know that my usb ports are working, or at least the 2 that I added should be working fine. except they are not. Windows picks up my usb controllers and even installs drivers for them when i tried uninstalling them. However all usb devices that I plug in, seem to not be getting power. I think i've narrowed it down to the mobo itself. Everything else on the mobo is running at 100%, just not my usb ports. I hope that what I have written is not confusing, and I hope you guys can help, i'd hate to have to buy a new mobo.
