Hey there, I'm having trouble connecting my WD Mybook 1.5TB via the ESATA port on my AUSUS P5W-DH deluxe Motherboard. It takes Windows about three minutes to load and after that the data transfer rate to the Mybook is glacial at best. It works fine using the Firewire 400 port and the USB connection, but not the ESATA. And Windows loads in about 45 seconds connected that way. Is this a common problem or did I get the ESATA Mybook for nothing?

It's most likely an issue with your eSATA port. How does the drive perform on other computers? Have you also checked if the drivers of your motherboard are updated?
