Hello everyone,

I have to choose a protection on my router and I was wondering which one is the best to use?

WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, shared, mixed WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK

And it would be nice if you can explain why aswell so that I understand it for the next time.

Greetings!

I use WPA-PSK at home.
Most wireless devices and laptops support that security level.
Some older devices require the use of WEP, which is less secure

Thank you for your answer sir, sadly enough I already knew that WEP is less secure then WPA.

WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, shared, mixed WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK

I was more wondering where shared or mixed stand for, is it any better then regular WPA2-PSK for example?

Greetings!
