How can I tell if my graphics card is installed and working?

When I try and load the graphics card driver from the cd I receive the message "The NVidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatable with your current hardware. Setup will now exit." So I went to the website and downloaded the driver from there. But now when I'm trying to open Age of Conan no image for the game comes up on the screen. So I'm wondering if my graphics card is really installed correctly. Is there a way to test this?

Thanks.

you can do this

in run (i don't know that it's right wat i said about run, but in dutch it's called uitvoeren)

typ dxdiag and than click yes, if your gpu is working you will see it

or download ccleaner and see if ccleaner found your cpu, ram and gpu
