4850 vs 9800GTX

Which of these cards would you recommend?

My impression so far is that ppl would choose 4850, but where i live they cost exactly the same (both 240$).

Or would you choose another card in that range? I can tell you that 8800GT (512) is 200$ or just under.

Im upgrading from 7900gt.

To be on to your own topic, I wouldn't really go for just the 8800GT; you've already got a 7900GT, so I'd definitely recommend going a bit beyond that, as it's recommended to try to make your upgrades SUBSTANTIAL over the previous step; you'll more readily notice the difference if you go up to the 9800GTX or 4850... And in this case, I'd recommend the 4850 over the GTX, as it seems to hold a performance lead over it, and perhaps even the 9800GTX+.
