Windows 7 on wired computer prevents wireless connections to router

Why does my HP LaserJet P2015dn not print? It says PRINTER OFFLINE. I am using Windows 7 but this has happened before with other versions of Windows and I have had to have it fixed. How can I correct this problem myself? There is another computer connected to the printer.
Please help.

How did you resolve the issue with the previous versions of windows, this could point towards the main cause.
