Hello all. Im sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I am having issues with what seems to be my motherboard. I have a dell dimension 4700. I went to power it on today as soon as it went past the initial boot screen it would flash and restart. It then becomes a constant cycle and never boots to the desktop. Itll briefly flashing the windows loading logo but briefly. Before it even comes up clearly itll restart itself. Ive tried flashing the bios. Resetting the cmos. Ive tried to check if it was bad ram. Im running out of ideas as to what it could be. No diagnostic beeps or lights flashing nor messages. What could it be and is it a possible mobo issue? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Ive also tried swapping out harddrives and that doesnt seem to be the problem either.

Does it ever POST? Can you get into the BIOS setup? Have you tried to reinstall or use the recovery console for Windows?

There are lots of things that can go wrong. We can try to narrow it down a bit.

How did you check the RAM? Did you run Memtest86? Could also be your PSU.
