Can anyone provide me free BIOS upgrade for the following BIOS details :

BIOS Type: AMI
BIOS Date: October 13th 2005
BIOS ID: 63-0100-000001-00101111-101305-Lakeport-551L1519
BIOS OEM: 08.00.12.551L1519.2005.1013.161327 - 080012
Chipset: Intel 2770 rev 2
SuperIO: ITE 8712F rev 8 at port 002E
Manufacturer: To Be Filled By O.E.M.
Motherboard: To Be Filled By O.E.M.

I just have these Details only . And there are no BIOS upgrades provided by the Lenovo support webpage.

If the manufacture dosen't provide BIOS update chances are you don't have an updates. Also why update BIOS any ways? Do you plan to swap out CPU or some thing like that?

Yeah, i'm upgrading my pentium 4 cpu to Core 2 Duo.

It CANNOT be done on most P4 motherboards because Intel changed the VRM specification. Nearly all motherboards built before around 2006 have hardware incompatibilty.
