Hey, I want to overclock an E8400 on an ASUS P5QL-E mobo. The mobo come with a small northbridge heatsink, but should I go for an aftermarket one just incase?

Time for some experimentation: Just keep track of the temperatures. If you think the MCP(?) temp runs too high, get an aftermarket cooler.

You could buy an Antec Spot Cool and you should be fine.

Intel P4x chipsets run fairly cool already. I doubt you'll need active cooling, with overclocks to 3.6ghz. If you plan on 4ghz, then maybe you might need it. I have a P45 chipset motherboard with passive cooling, and It only uses 1.2v at 450mhz bus speed (1800FSB).
