Sata cable for seagate barracuda hard drive

The sata cable will not connect securely to the seagate hard drive. I ordered new ones they don't either...I'm either doing something wrong or the cables or wrong..any suggestions.

  1. Define "securely".
Usual SATA cables don't "click" on the connector. You could order locking SATA cables if that's what you need (sometimes referred as SATA-II cables) and has a small metal latch on the connector. Your hard drive must have an appropriate connector too, of course.
