Hey Everyone,

have just built myself a brand spanking new system. Am having some problems with it though. It just keeps crashing when I am playing games, no other time tho.

I have:

XFX 790i Ultra
XFX GeForce 9800 GX2
Super Talent Project 2000x Ram
Coolermaster Real Power M1000 PSU
Intel Quadcore Q9450

Other issues im having is that I also cant get my motherboard to let me run my ram at 2000MHz

If anyone is having the same problems or has a solution I would be most appreciative!

Could be overheating, depending on the case cooling.

Oh and you can't run memory at the max speed w/o issues. You might be able to get there by upping vdimm & unlinking cpu & ram.

Get this to monitor your gpu temps:

Google speedfan to monitor your cpu temp.

here is another useful GPU utility. I like it simply because I can manually control the GPU fan speed and consequently the temps.

Take the side off and point a fan at the motherboard.
See if you have the same problem.

What is an acceptable temperature range?

cpu temp should be under 70 under load. core temps may be higher.
