Upgrading Mobo and GPU (advice?)

so here are my current specs:

Intel C2D e8400
Gigabyte p35 DS3l
4GB PC 6400 OCZ RAM
Windows VISTA HOME PREMIUM x64
Zotac 8800gt AMP! edition
320gb HARD DRIVE 7200rpm
i game at 1680 x 1050.

So, i'm getting my summer paycheck and i want to continue upgrades. I believe that the first thing to do is upgrade the motherboard followed by adding a second 8800gt in SLI. Does that sound right. Here's what i'm thinking. budget is $300

What resolution do u play at? Also do u have any problems with your games? is there a single game out there that u can't play with good settings?

Original post states that I game at 1680 x 1050, and after talking with a professional, i believe that i should not spend any money until i can't play anything on medium settings.

And yes that professional guy is right(i said it too)when u dont have problems with games then there is no reason for upgrading.
