I got this MAXENT 26" lcd 1920x1080i screen a year or 2 ago. Not the best pixel density & 1080i isnt considered all that great anymore, but hey it was free. Ive been having some issues with it tho, since i got it.
1. I know lcds have a temporary "burn-in" effect after having something on the screen for a while, which goes away farily easily. But why does my screen have a HEAVY ghost image after just a few minutes? The time taken to write this will add the colored bar above this text area to my screen for a few hours now... I dont know why this happens so quickly with my monitor, maybe its hot and that speeds it up?
2. Not compatible with the majority of resolutions:
resolutions i can use:
800x600(ewww)
1024x768
1360x768(note, it is infact 1360, not 1366. 1366x768 doesnt work properly)
1600x1024
everything else either has a messed up size when i try it, and cant be adjusted to fit the screen, or just doesnt work. I think 1920x1080 wont work only cuz my vid card stinks. But even then, it should run 1280x720p, but doesnt work properly. Even though its listed in the manual, as are tons of other resolutions
Now, can someone also explain the format size thing? Its got 16x9, 4x3, and 1x1. I can actually get more of the other resolutions to fit with 1x1, but it looks pretty bad.
What is clock phase?
Difference between DVI and RGB? I get suprisingly good picture out of RGB even tho some ppl say its bad.
And could any of these changes slow down the "burnin" effect, w/e its actually called for lcd screens.
