my computer is running vista atm and for 3 days ran great but today it wont start up it justkeeps going to the windows recovery screen(my keyboard and mouse wont work at this time) i can get to my mothers boards bios before my keyboard is randomly disabled. also one other important fact normal there is bar of colored leds next to my ram showing the usage. yesterday it stopped lighting
turn off your pc, put on an anti-static wristband, remove the power chord from the psu and switch the psu to the off position, remove the sidepanel, now look near the bottom of your motherboard for a small round disk like thing, its the Cmos battery (bios settings etc) google it if you're not sure what/where it is, remove it and leave it out ofr 5 - 10 mins, then put it back in securely.
plug/piece the system back togther and hopefully it should work.
If this doesnt fix you're problem, post your full pc specification here.
According to my GA-EP35-DS3P manual, that LED bar is supposed to indicate the load on the CPU power supply. It has nothing to do with the RAM. On my motherboard, they come on during powerup and go off when Windows starts to load.
On my board, they do not come on even when I hav ethe CPU loaded with Prime95.
