Great forum and what a better place for advice. This system will be for Gaming only. I have never OC'd before, so this will be my first time. Also I will not SLI or CF, I currently have a Nvidia 8800GT superclocked that will be going into this system, until I can afford a higher end card.

Well thats it. The biggest decision for me was and is the mobo. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Raptor X = waste of money. Get the new 300GB Raptor, or not one at all.

Good CPU, get the P5Q Pro instead. Only $10 more.

RAM is ok, I prefer G.Skill though.

GREAT PSU!

If I were you I would go with an Nvidia chipset on the mobo cause i just prefer them and you will probaly want to do sli in the future.

Where in the hell did you deduce that from? From every test I have seen Intel chipsets have always come out ahead without all the weird problems that plague nVidia chipsets.

Probably want to do SLI in the future?

Again, what a terrible idea.

Byebye Fanboi.

The term Fanboi, is thrown around these forums very loosely I have noticed.

Dagger, what is the major difference between the board you linked and the one I chose? Remeber, I am a complete noob at overclocking. :( . And as far as the OS, what is the main difference between the 32 and 64 bit.

Well, it's the current highest oc record holder.

Of course, those are done by pros, and it's safe to say you won't reach it.

The auto-overclocking feature with it's configuration presets tend to work better than auto-oc on Asus boards, which over volts, set strange clocks and cause instability. Of course, it' still better to oc manually if you want things done right.
