I am considering the following components for my next machine. Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

CPU: E8400
MBO: ASUS P5E Deluxe (X48)
MEM: Patriot 4GB (2 x 2) DDR2 1066
Case: NZXT Tempest
PSU: PC Power & Cooling 610 watt
HD: WD Caviar 500GB 7200rpm
Burner: Lite-On 20x dvd w/litescribe
Video: EVGA 8800 GT 512mb
OS: Vista 64 bit

Get the radeon 4850 over the 8800gt especially because you are getting an intel motherboard so you can go crossfire later and because the 4850 is much better then the 8800 gt

I agree, although the 8800GT is a great card and it's a steal right now at ~$100 I would go with the 4850 or wait a couple weeks for the 4870. Other than that it looks great, enjoy.

another vote for 4850 or 4870 cards. get ddr2 800, it's much cheaper than 1066 and overclockable to 1066 speeds. 610 is not enough if you want to crossfire or sli cards later on. especially if you will overclock.

Thanks for the quick feed back...I'll do some research on the radeon cards. What psu should I get if I decide to go crossfire?
