Currently, I'm shopping around for a really nice monitor and will purchase it in about a month and a half when I build my system. I'm aiming for a monitor that excels at playing games at highest possible settings (4870 CF or 4870x2) and is able to play full HD movies. I'm aiming for 24" but could go up or down in size. I want to be able plug in a PS3. I don't necessarily have a budget, but price defiantly plays a role. Example: the gx280 is a great card, but for $600...not worth it when there's a card that comes really close to performance at $300.

I'm not all that educated on what to look for in a monitor since I've only bought monitors that friends recommended.

What are some good suggestions to look for when purchasing, and what monitors would you recommend?

Here is a monitor that someone has recommended:
SAMSUNG ToC T240HD Rose-Black 24" 5ms HDMI Widescreen HDTV Monitor

(As of now, there aren't any reviews on Newegg about this monitor. )
Good choice?

I came across this review:

Seems like the SAMSUNG isn't that great of a monitor according to them. Not sure what a TN panel is, but I guess thery're not the greatest.

EDIT: Never mind, appears to be a different monitor. Probably previous generation LCD.

I have a g2400w from benq... its amazing... its 24 inches of goodness... great color representation in my opinion... no ghosting WHAT SO EVER and has everything you could ever want including hdmi support

also it seems kind of hypocritical to say you want to play games w/ 4870 CF or 4870 X2... and not w/ a gtx 280... especially since they are all going to cost the same... except for the 4870 CF... thats about 100 bucks more...

Well, first of all, it's an example. Secondly, a single gx280 can't come close to the performance of a 4870 in CF (even for 100 more) or a 4850 CF (200 cheaper). If your referring that I should go 4850 CF instead of 4870 CF due to cost/performance, then your right.
