So I just installed my AVerMedia tv tuner and it did not come with any software to watch tv on. It did come with drivers though. I just thought I would ask and see what is pretty popular to run the tuner with. I have heard of MediaPortal. Any other ones out there that are half way decent?

Try hitting AverMedia's Support Site and download the available software. Personally, I just use MCE.

It's part of the setup process. I'm not at home right now so I can't be certain, but I think it's under Settings and then Configure your TV.
