I'm doing some programming in asp.net and want to build (or have built) a desktop machine that will run Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008. I understand that Intel desktop motherboards won't do that, (http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-008326.htm) so I thought perhaps some of you may have a suggestion for a motherboard by another manufacturer.

I'm thinking I want a q9650 with 8Gb/DDR2-800 (unless there's a big performance difference with DDR3). Would be nice to have RAID on the motherboard, but not essential if other factors take precedence.

If you think there's a better performance configuration in the price range, I'd like to hear about it. Basically I'm compiling a bunch of modules in Visual Studio, and want to do it quickly, also running sql server & IIS.

Thanks, I really appreciate suggestions from you hardware gurus. I don't know how you keep up with all the new stuff.
