So whats a great sound card thats hassle free. I'm going to be using Vista 64 and headphones. Not sure which headphones to get but I'm leaning towards the 7.1 Icemats. So if you guys could recommend a sound card and headphone setup that is just kicka55 together I'd greatly appreciate it. thanks

I'm running a Razer Barracuda HP-1 and AC-1 setup and love it. It's not quite 7.1 (5.1) but the quality is excellent. Also, the max volume will make your head explode, which is always fun.

Drip, make sure you can get the Vista64 drivers for whichever soundcard/combo you choose... I had a hell of a time with an old Audigy2 installing into Vista64 Ultimate. (a few months back)

Generally speaking onboard sound is plenty good unless you have pro speaker setup.
