Hey guys

I want to buy a fan controller for my comp since when im not playing games or doing intensive things, I can turn them down so they dont make as much noise. Ive got no idea whats good and wats not..also, I have 2 antec tri cool fans that came with the case and 3 cooler master case fans in my case too (with red LEDs). Can a fan controller support different types and brands of fans?

I was looking at the Scythe Kama Reader 2 Black since it was cheap and seemed quite adequate. I just need something simple..nothing with a colour screen that can play games and stuff.

Also, I hear people try to match the amount of air flowing into the case to the air flowing out of a case. Is that really nessecary?? Will it cause some sort of weird airflow vacuum if the flow isnt similar?

Thanks in advance.

I use this on a micro build to adjust front, rear, side and a RAM cooler. The LEDs are real attractive compared to what a lot of other controllers out there offer. Has four temp monitors too. Fans must be of the three pin variety to work with the unit.

Thanks badge.

Is it just the three pin plug (or w.e plug it supports) that dictates whether controller can control the fan speeds? Im not even sure if the cooler master case fans have rpm sensors and stuff like that.

Yes, has to have the thrid wire (pin). Two = pos/neg.

i picked up a zalman mfc1plus controller a while back, has 6 control knobs, 2 of which can be linked back into the motherboard for rpm displays.

its not particularly flashy (leds go from blue to red when you turn them up) but it does what i need it to do.
