QPI setting

I've read that 920/940 operate on a qpi of 4.8 compared to the 6.4 of 965.

But what does it mean for a 920 to operate on 6.4? I know that it is not recommended but i mean will it cause any trouble?

Cause i have left the qpi on auto on my board and benchmarks report it as 6.4, and that makes me wonder should i leave it on auto ot manually set it to 4.8?

IT seems that the XMP profile is what set my GPI data rate so high. IT's actually 6.8 and has setting for 7.2 and 8.something.

I wonder if it's better to disable the XMP in an attempt to lower the QPI and achieve a higher stable, since i'm stuck at 3.9.
